I came across an interesting thread at the aprilla forum. A home made MX bike with Downhill bike parts. There’s also a commercial version being made in New Zealand. It’s a really cool idea and one I have gone over in my head many times. I’d really like to get my hands on one. I applaud these guys for their creativity and dedication but I wonder if it truly rides like a DH with an engine, or more of an underpowered moto…hopefully I can find out someday.

ScottThat engine is an 85cc 2t engine, meaning this will be extremely fast. With it being so light i would imagine the top speed to be somewhere around 70mph. It should handle like a DH bike.
