• Bikes for Sale – Round 2

Memorial Weekend Price Slashing is in effect!

Being laid up and having to deal with a move to a new house, I did not motivate to sell my bikes last season…but summer is rolling in, and I am itching to ride again. Since I’ll be laying off the jumps on the DH tracks for a while I want to shed these two first and hang on to my Chameleon for now.  I am motivated to sell these and upgrade to a full suspension trail bike and focus on adventure riding so I am open to some potential trade options.

See reduced prices.

2008 Turner DHR – $2750 $2500

Turner DHR

This bike didn’t get ridden at all last season so condition wise it’s a year newer than it implies. Really nice ride, no play in the linkage, all fresh suspension bushings this thing still rides like it did when I got it. Low BB, rails corners, amazing geometry.

• Frame: 2008 Large Turner Frame, Color:Smoke
• Suspension: “Pushed” Fox Rear suspension,  Rockshox Totem Coil tuned by Dirt Works
• Wheels: Hadley Hubs, and Mavic 819 Handbuilt tubeless w/Maxxis Minnion Tires
• Brakes:Hayes Code 4 piston brakes and levers
• Drivetrain:SRAM drivetrain and Gammut Chain Guide (Standard rear cassette makes this bike clime-able on fireroads)
• Cockpit: Sunline 30″ Bars, Thomson Seatpost, Diety Stem, ODI Lockons w/rufian grips. I have both Clipless and Flat Pedal options I can include

2009 Custom Brody DJ – $650$500

IMG_1692 (1)

This is a cool bike for street or DJ. It’s got a pike/argyle fork custom built by push that actually needs a bit of a tune-up. Otherwise it’s a nothing special build but with solid parts all around. Diety Bars, Crank Bro’s pedals, Truvativ cranks, and half link chain. Definitely a great custom frame and fork to get your hands on that’s ready to ride the park or the trails.

• Broken Leg = Bikes for Sale
So it pains me (literally) to post this but last week I suffered a severe tibial plateau fracture. This is actually my 10th broken bone related to DJ and Downhill so it’s time to free myself of the habit completely and sell my bikes.
So in short my loss is your gain.
All bikes are in good condition and have been well maintained. All of them are for tall folks (5’11″+) and for agressive riders. I also have a variety of gear that is challenging for me to go through right now, but if you need anything from a dirt jump lid, to full body armor I might have you covered. I will try and post some more specifics when I am a little more mobile

Broken Leg = Bikes for Sale

So it pains me (literally) to post this but last week I suffered a severe tibial plateau fracture. After a long string of injuries related to dirt-jumping and downhill I have decided it’s time to sell off my current fleet.

So in short my loss is your gain.

• Colorado Crankworks

I went up to Winter Park this weekend to check out the Colorado Crankworks event. This has become one of the must-do comps for the slopestyle athletes and the course showcased the abilities of the riders well. In the end Brandon Semenuk took home the $6,000, tricking threes, flips and variations on all the hardest features. As an indication of how huge the course was, things took on a serious tone, when rider Alex Poch fell backflipping out of the soup bowl and broke his femur. Heal up man.

• A few pics from the National Champs

I spent the day at Sol Vista yesterday taking in the national championship pro race. The course was sick. Lots of big booters and flat corners. Aaron Gwin took the victory home on his Yeti.

• Desert Adventure

I spent the last few days out in the desert floating the Colorado river, and biking around Moab. We started at the West Water put-in and spent the night out on the river returning to Cisco a day later. From there I followed the Colorado further and ended up in Moab for a weekend of riding with friends.

• Published!

So I am excited to report I got my first ever shot in a magazine! I am in front of the lens not behind it for this one. Some of you may remember that a few months ago Eddie Clark took some outstanding shots out at the jumps near my place. Well one of the shots has made it into the Mountain Flyer photo-annual as a 2 page spread!

• Private Ranch Trails

So this summer I was lucky enough to get hired to do some trail work for a former business colleague of mine. He has a gorgeous ranch in the northern foothills, and plenty of space for some built features. He’s just getting his feet wet in the DH scene so we proposed to build some pretty low consequence, but bigger stuff. We put in 3 large tables, and a really fun bermed single track entrance. Everything turned out great, and he hired us for a second round, which this time was an 8 jump mountain crossy line. We lined up a bob cat and went to town in a dusting of fresh snow.

Of course the setup is private so don’t expect to ride any of this any time soon :p

• Fall Fun

Fall is absolutely one of my favorite times of the year. The cool days, crisp morning and evenings make it ideal for having fun outdoors. The smell of the leaves, and outburst of color are ideal for fun both in front of and behind the lense. The last few days I have had a chance to get the camera out, and in front of the camera of Eddie Clark.
