So I am excited to report I got my first ever shot in a magazine! I am in front of the lens not behind it for this one. Some of you may remember that a few months ago Eddie Clark took some outstanding shots out at the jumps near my place. Well one of the shots has made it into the Mountain Flyer photo-annual as a 2 page spread!

- Private Ranch Trails
So this summer I was lucky enough to get hired to do some trail work for a former business colleague of mine. He has a gorgeous ranch in the northern foothills, and plenty of space for some built features. He’s just getting his feet wet in the DH scene so we proposed to build some pretty low consequence, but bigger stuff. We put in 3 large tables, and a really fun bermed single track entrance. Everything turned out great, and he hired us for a second round, which this time was an 8 jump mountain crossy line. We lined up a bob cat and went to town in a dusting of fresh snow.
Of course the setup is private so don’t expect to ride any of this any time soon :p

- Fall Fun
Fall is absolutely one of my favorite times of the year. The cool days, crisp morning and evenings make it ideal for having fun outdoors. The smell of the leaves, and outburst of color are ideal for fun both in front of and behind the lense. The last few days I have had a chance to get the camera out, and in front of the camera of Eddie Clark.

- Pacific Travels
I have been lucky enough to get out and do some traveling lately. First, my adventures took me to the lush climate of British Colombia where I checked out the Whistler Mountain Bike park and Vancouver. Next it was on to San Fran to see Radiohead and many others at the Outside Lands Festival.
Here are some pictures of my travels

- Don’t call it a come back
Last week I got my walking papers from the doc for my broken foot. Had a great session with friends out at Eaton and Micheal Chilcoat was there to capture the action. Check out his Flickr Album.

Hey ya’ll sorry for the disruption. I guess my word press backups were getting a bit out of hand and Blue Host pulled the plug on my domain. Were back to your regularly scheduled programming now.

- Lyons Outdoor Games – DJ Comp
Yesterday the town of Lyons put on their Outdoor Games. A great little grassroots festival that brings local kayakers, bikers, and outdoor enthusiasts to the town of Lyons. This year the event featured a dirt jump competition and local diggers Dave Camp and TJ Sharp spent the last few weeks putting in a set in the middle of a field. A few local landscaping firms helped them with some dirt, and they shaped everything up.
The local comp featured a bunch of my friends, some local BMX talent, and a few Lyon’s locals given’er. Little Matt Cordova took home the cash with his consistent tricks and high energy riding while his brother Joey was a crowd favorite with turn down backs, and 360 combos. AJ Threw down a technical double tail whip for best trick of the day. Big ups to all the competitors and to Lyons. These DJs are here to stay, so I am sure we’ll be having some more fun a this spot.

- Summer Nights – Eaton Park
It’s been digging season lately. My foot is getting a lot better but I am not quite cleared to ride how I want to yet. So instead of shredding with the boys, I am behind the camera. Eaton is running great.

- Youth gone wild! (as seen on Youtube)
So I think youtube has been getting a bad rap lately. A lot of press is surfacing that this free for all of content is a breading ground for adolescent cyber-crimes. They’re have been some high profile teen fight vids lately that truly are a shame. But that’s the glass half empty side of things, here are a few of kids taking things up a notch.
This first one is an 11 year old BMX kid on a 16 inch pulling everything in the book! We’ll be seeing more of him I am sure.
Next up is the 10 year old sand wheelie. This kid has got some serious throttle control.
