• Another fun day out at The Pass

Good times were had this Saturday with a few friends in some really creamy snow. It wasn’t the deepest day I have skied but the snow was hero, and some of the bonier lines are now filled in. Here are a few shots from Rush and the Diving Board. Thanks to Eric for the photos.

  • Chips Cashed

    Cascade Squirrel

    Maui

After a five year stint at a financial software company, I decided it was time to cash in my chips and take on something new. It feels good, and there’s nothing like a vacation with a truly clear head. Seeing as I live in what is essentially a high desert, a trip to the pacific rim sounded especially appealing. I decided first a cascade ski sampling was in order.

I capped it off with a trip to Maui to visit some family and do some island adventuring. Nothing like a vacation from my vacation, and of course the weather was perfect.

    Final Turns 2006

I accomplished a lot in 2006 and proved a lot to myself. I am really looking forward to a big 2007. Anyways, I gave 2006 a proper send off at The Pass this weekend. A good session with old friends and some nice sunshine and pow’. Enjoy

  • The Blizzard of ’06

    Telluride Views

The front range certainly got it’s share of a white Christmas. Over two feet of snow fell in less than 24 hours at my condo. With the city shutdown, and the snow piling up down south it was time for another mission to the San Juans. Here are the pics!

  • A season reflection

    San Jauns Picture Perfect

Summer temps are here to stay, but ’04-05 was one of the best seasons on the books for me and there is plenty of snow left to keep the season going for summer ski missions. Like last year my travels found me in The San Juans where I visited Aaron Brill at his very own Silverton Mountain. The season started out early with powder skiing in Utah in October and Thanksgiving with my family in Elks Range at Aspen plus a return trip to Crestted Butte after a 7 year drought.

When winter is upon us be sure to check my Colorado Conditions Page to track weather, road and snow conditions. It uses data from the NWS, Ski Colorado and CDOT. Also before you head out be sure to check with our friends at the CAIC.

A special thanks goes out to the maggot collective who helped make this season such an unforgettable medley of faceshots, and smiles.
